The miniclick talks are a series of free, monthly photography discussions curated by Brighton photographer, Jim Stephenson. Beginning in September 2010, the talks have now featured twelve different photographers from all walks of the genre. From fine art, to documentary, to conceptual, to commercial, to fashion and music to street and photojournalism, these informal talks are an opportunity for an audience to hear the stories behind the images and delve a little deeper into the artists intent.

Guest Speaker: Emma Critchley

Emma was part of an event we put on a couple of years ago and did a great talk on her body of work, which is made up of otherworldly and beguiling portraits and short films, all conducted underwater. Photos and more details below.

I’m interested in the way water changes the relationship we have with our bodies, the way we see and hear things, and the difference in gravity…” Read more on The Guardian.
