Shakespeare Schools Festival

  • The Old Market Upper Market Street Hove BN3 1AS (map)

The world’s largest youth drama festival comes to TOM for an exhilarating evening of theatre, featuring a series of unique abridged Shakespeare productions by local schools. See Shakespeare’s timeless stories brought to life like never before, and support young people from your community as they take to the stage. Details of the schools performing are available on the SSF’s website.

Shakespeare Schools Foundation is a cultural education charity, transforming lives through the unique power of Shakespeare. This annual Festival provides a platform for up to 30,000 young people to express themselves and grow in confidence as they take to a professional stage. In this, the 19th year of the Festival, SSF celebrate the infinite variety of work found across the project, as young people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities find their ‘voice’ in the school rehearsal room, culminating in a thrilling night of theatre.
