Tickets for Good: Our Way of Saying Thank You

At TOM - The Old Market, our local community in Hove has always been at the heart of what we do.
Whether it’s a night of live music, a thought-provoking theatre show from a local theatre group or a family-friendly performance that makes the little ones’ eyes light up, our mission has always been simple: to share the magic of the arts with everyone. And we mean everyone.
That’s why we’re proud to announce that we’re now donating tickets to Tickets for Good, an incredible initiative that makes live events more accessible to those who need them most. Alongside helping us say a heartfelt thank you to our local heroes.
What is Tickets for Good?
Tickets for Good allows event organisers and venues to donate tickets for events, which can then be offered to people who might otherwise miss out on cultural experiences. Through the scheme, free or heavily discounted tickets are made available to NHS staff, charity workers, and people on low incomes or receiving benefits. Thus, allowing us to share our experiences with absolutely everyone!
It’s a simple idea, but one that makes a huge difference, opening the doors of theatres, concerts and live events to people who spend so much of their lives giving to others or facing challenging circumstances.
Who Benefits and Why It Matters
The scheme supports:
NHS staff who’ve spent long, tireless shifts caring for others and deserve time to unwind and recharge.
Families on benefits, for whom a day or night out can often feel like a luxury that’s out of reach.
Charity Sector Workers who work hard to help improve other people’s lives and livelihoods.
For many, the experience of coming to TOM and visiting live events in general isn’t just entertainment; it’s about connection. It’s laughter, music, inspiration and the feeling of being part of something bigger with the crowd around you.
Why The Old Market Supports Tickets for Good
As a charity ourselves, TOM exists to support creativity, accessibility and community spirit here in Hove, across Brighton and throughout the UK. Donating tickets to Tickets for Good helps us live out those values. Ensuring that our space isn’t just for some, but for all.
We believe everyone should have the chance to experience live performances, no matter their background or circumstances.
