Following the spirit of Lightworks Daytime, we’re bringing the same intentions into the night: exploring how music, creativity and shared experiences can support our wellbeing, while still making space for a proper night out.
At the centre of the room will be music, with the stage placed bang centre and a lineup of DJs and artists carrying us through the evening. The headline act we'll be welcoming is the incredible Allexa Nava, who in a 40 minute set will provide us with both smooth melodic jazz sounds and also quite venomous musical powers, delivered by her worldwide blessing saxophone and additional band members. Also joining on the musical side of the lineup there'll be Imani Ruiz, from whom we can expect silky vocals ranging over hip hop, jazz and RnB.
There’ll too be sounds spun from Brighton’s very own homegrown and favourite music publication Offie Mag; who via the medium of the vinyl are being trusted to share their eclectic understanding of worldly dance music. Meanwhile there is Worldwide FM's very own Lovellious, who also will be mixing wax, a fine, soulful, yet still heavy and broken-beat infused DJ, fresh off of his recent set at We Out Here and gladly making his Lightworks debut.
Dance all night. Make something. Play a game. Sit down for a bit. Meet someone new. Move between it all. Leave feeling lighter.
Lightworks is about showing that music spaces can hold energy and care at the same time - and this is our first night time edition. End of the tunnel. It’s going to be special.
