Mark Watson is a British stand-up comedian and novelist recognised for his observational humour addressing everyday life, family dynamics, and current events, alongside pioneering endurance performances such as multi-hour marathon gigs. And now he headlines a special night of comedy, raising funds to support NHS hospitals in Sussex.

Watson's comedy career began in 2002 with his debut performance; that same year, he won the Daily Telegraph Open Mic Competition, leading to nominations for the Perrier Award for Best Newcomer and victories including the inaugural Panel Prize at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2006 and multiple Chortle Awards.

He has appeared on panel shows such as Mock the Week, Have I Got News for You, and Taskmaster, and gained acclaim for staging record-setting long-form shows, including 24-hour routines at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and a 26.2-hour performance tied to the London Marathon in 2019.

As an author, Watson has published several novels, including Eleven (2010), The Knot (2012), Hotel Alpha (2014), Contacts (2020), and Mortification (2023), with works translated into twelve languages; his writing often explores themes of human connection and personal setbacks.

The night will also include two support acts from the vibrant Brighton & Hove comedy scene - Elaine Fellows is “hilarious, quirky, and prone to oversharing” (Chortle). She’s been trusted as tour support for top comedians like Paul McCaffrey, Colin Hoult and Laura Smyth. Her standout performances have earned her a series of accolades, including: Komedia Comedy Award Finalist, Hastings Newcomer of the Year Runner-Up and South Coast Comedian of the Year Finalist (a plot twist as a northerner!) Joining Mark and Elaine is Graeme Collard. Performing at Comedy clubs around Britain, Graeme is noted for his slightly off the wall laid back style which usually features a mix of observations, story's and jokes.
