Presented by The University of Brighton
Step into a pop-up exhibition of 360° immersive animations created by second-year BA Animation students from the University of Brighton.
In response to the theme Of Land, Sea and Sky, this collection of animations explores the connection between humanity and the natural world. These short, looping works draw on a wide range of inspirations: from the everyday beauty of local ponds and walled gardens to the heights of space exploration and the natural phenomenon of bioluminescence, and more.
Designed as a relaxed, drop-in experience, the animations loop continuously, allowing visitors to settle into beanbags and discover new details with each viewing.
Celebratory and suitable for all ages, this event invites audiences to immerse themselves in the vibrant visuals and atmospheric sounds, offering diverse perspectives inspired by our lands, seas and skies.
This event is part of The Old Market’s and Brighton Festival’s Of Land, Sea and Sky programme.
Rooted in our own connection to the soil beneath our feet, the waters that shape our coastlines, and the landscapes that hold our daily live, this season invites audiences to see themselves as stewards of this place we call home.
Of Land, Sea and Sky is Part of Brighton Festival’s 60th Edition, taking place Sat 2-Sun 24 May 2026 - brightonfestival.org
