A night of passionate, intelligent, unflinchingly intimate new work from Yorkshire powerhouse poetry trio Rosy Carrick, Toria Garbutt and Sally Jenkinson.

Toria Garbutt

Toria Garbutt is a poet and spoken word performer from Knottingley, West Yorkshire, whose work is rooted in themes of class, identity and personal experience. She has been featured on BBC platforms and widely across national stages. Toria has published two collections with Wrecking Ball Press: The Universe and Me; and Another Time in Space and has toured extensively, including alongside Dr. John Cooper Clarke. She works within the criminal justice system, using poetry as a tool for connection, reflection and rehabilitation.

Sally Jenkinson

Sally Jenkinson is a poet, writer, performer, and creative facilitator from Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Her work has been featured in Lighthouse Journal, Emerge Literary Journal, The Morning Star, BBC Radio 4, BBC 6Music and BBC television. She was Glastonbury Festival's Poet in Residence, 2024, and has published three pamphlets of poetry with Burning Eye Books: Pantomime Horse, Russian Doll, Egg (2022); Boys (2016); and Sweat-borne Secrets (2012). She is currently working on a new collection of poems, Alive!, which explores her journey of breast cancer treatment and recovery.

Rosy Carrick is a writer and performer based in Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire. She is the author of two poetry collections: Chokey (2018) and I LOVE (2025), the latter of which is currently beng translated into French. Rosy's theatre debut Passionate Machine won the Best New Play award at Brighton Fringe and the Infallibles Award for Theatrical Excellence at Edinburgh Fringe in 2018, before touring internationally. Her critically acclaimed second play Musclebound toured from 2024 to 2025. Rosy has a PhD on the poetry of Vladimir Mayakovsky and has released two collections of his work in translation: Volodya: Selected Works of Vladimir Mayakovsky (Enitharmon, 2015) and Vladimir Ilyich Lenin (Smokestack, 2017). Between 2022 and 2024, Rosy co-wrote ZA/UM Studio's cursed – and subsequently cancelled – spin-off to the explosively successful videogame Disco Elysium
