Our address is: The Old Market, Upper Market Street, BN3 1AS

From Western Road – turn south onto Upper Market Street and we’re right in front of you.
From the Seafront – walk north onto Waterloo Street then take your third left (known as the Waterloo Arch, a small walkway that leads directly to TOM!)

Services that travel past TOM include: 1, 1A, 2, 2A, 5, 5A, 5B, 6, 20X, 24, 25, 26, 49, 49A, 81 or N25. All of these buses stop on Western Road.
If travelling from Brighton – alight at Brunswick Square and turn around to walk back towards Brighton. Turn right onto Upper Market Street and we’re right in front of you.
If travelling from Hove – alight at the Co-Op Supermarket and turn around to walk back towards Hove. Cross the road and turn left onto Upper Market Street, we’re right in front of you.

The Old Market is located between Brighton station (1 mile) and Hove station (1.3 miles). Southern Railway and First Capital Connect operate from both stations, with connections to London and other locations in the south.
To walk from Brighton Station – head straight out of the station south on Queens Road. Turn right past the Jubilee Clock Tower on to Western Road and walk for approx. half a mile. Then turn left on to Upper Market Street, we’re in front of you.
To walk from Hove Station – head straight out of the station south on Goldstone Villas. At the end of the road, turn left onto Blatchington Road. Take the fifth right and turn south onto The Drive. Turn left onto Church Road and head East for approx. half a mile. Turn right onto Upper Market Street, we’re in front of you.
Alternatively – a taxi from either station takes around 5-10 minutes and will cost approx. £5-£7.

As we’re located in a residential area, parking in the surrounding roads is extremely limited, so we’d recommend getting in early!
For on-street parking, we’d recommend Kingsway Pay & Display, Hove Seafront, BN3 1HA. Charges apply 9am to 8pm, so for an evening show, you would only need to pay for one hour. Blue Badge holders can park here for free when displaying a Blue Badge. To walk from here – walk north onto Waterloo Street then take your third left (known as the Waterloo Arch, a small walkway that leads directly to TOM!)
For off-street parking, we’d recommend NCP Regency Square, 31 Regency Square, Brighton, BN1 2FG. A full evening here costs £4.50. There is no free Blue Badge parking here. There are six bays for electric charging vehicles. To walk from here – head north out of the car park and turn left towards Preston Street. Turn right and walk north. Turn left onto Western Road and walk for approx. 0.3 miles. Turn left onto Upper Market Street – we’re right in front of you.

We know that getting anywhere on time in Brighton and Hove can be somewhat…tricky. We also know that people arriving late for shows distracts those who are already seated. Thus, a dilemma occurs…

If you are not able to make it to TOM on time, our team will usually be able to seat you (at their discretion) during a performance in the best available seats. Some performances do not allow entry to latecomers, be sure to check our website before your visit to find out if this applies.

We hope you’ll understand and help us take care of both latecomers and the audience members who are already seated. We’d advise planning on arriving, at the very least, 20 minutes before the scheduled start time. We have the TOM bar open before all performances, so why not make a night of it?

Team TOM

TOM’s Bar.

TOM’s Bar.

TOM’s Bar is an important part of what we do, and we don’t like to think of it as a ‘run-of-the-mill, pricey theatre bar’. As such, our prices are similar to those of other local bars, our service is always personal, and unlike most, we promise to stay open after your show. TOM’s Bar is a place to enjoy, to discuss and to take in the atmosphere each event brings.

We’re proud to serve a great range of high quality refreshments. You’ll find some familiar products but also many from independent, local producers too. Our friendly team serve a range of wines, draft beers, spirits, ciders and snacks – the ideal accompaniments to your evening. We also have vegan and gluten free options, so there’s something for everyone. Not only that, but all of our cups, straws and other plastics are 100% biodegradable or reusable.

Click the button below to view our latest menu, and keep an eye out on social media and emails for all the latest updates.

Oh, and TOM’s Friends get 10% off of all purchases from TOM’s Bar (just saying…)

See you soon,
Rob and the TOM’s Bar team

TOM’s Bar offer’s a range of wines, draft beers, spirits and ciders before, during and after every show. We also offer a small selection of snacks and nibbles, including a range of nuts, chocolate buttons, crisps, ice creams and seasonal specials.

If you’re looking for something more substantial to eat before your show, we know a few places that will do the trick. Great menus, fast service, fine dining and cheap eats, all available just a short walk from TOM…
